now if you choose one you can do without!
« on: July 29, 2010, 04:30:28 pm »
Like the title says. If you had to give up just one or one you don't like and needs improving which one would you it be? I could live without the mica myself because Its a little fragile for things I really need a more sturdy MT on so its just a little used backup to my charge!

Amici,
Either the Squirt S4 or any one of the many variants from the Juice line. As of late, when it comes to compact yet moderate carry, I'm begining to appreciate my Skeletool more and more..

As for the Squirt, I'm not a big fan of the whole plastic sleeve/toothpick holder..

Cheers,
Serge

I would give up the Leatherman Surge.  It is too large for my hands and I have other large size multitools (e.g., SwissTool, SOG Powerlock, LM original SuperTool).

Other way around for me. After having owned both, I never really saw the point of the Charge. Nicer? Sure, but nowhere near double the price nicer.

The one I could do without, I am without, as I traded it away and that was the
Leatherman Surge.  I was never a fan of this tool because I found it too big
and heavy.

Amici,
Very interesting since this charge has always been weighed against the big boys..

Personally I prefer large tools over the little guys for various reasons, torque being a number one..

The only response I have to the complaint about weight being an issue is simple, join a gym and do squats... Before you know it, you'll think you have a feather strapped to your hip..

Cheers,
Serge

Out of the tools I have at the moment, the Kick is the one I could get rid of the easiest.  It really doesn't offer much for how large it is, at least compared to my Sideclip, and if I wanna carry a nonlocking tool, I typically go for my better-built Sideclip anyway.  It's slimmer, more solid, and has a small screwdriver as a bonus.
