It's nice, isn't it? :)
The seller's pictures were not very good, the scales are more beautiful than I expected.

That link also shows a different, white knife by the way :)

Sammlermesser means collector's knife, not just the Kantonsmesser are called that ;)

Believe the Battles and some other commemorative knives are also listed as Sammlermesser. The half-dozen cantons that I have are marked that on the box (no mention of Kantonmesser), which is how I have them cataloged in my spreadsheet. Probably need to recatalog them to make them easier to find.  :ahhh

Karl

Nice collection ColoSwiss!  :salute:  I like the Kantonsmesser and I hope Victorinox will release a new one very soon.

Thanks for the link. A lot of good information there, some of which I didn't have. It sounds like they are only available new from the Victorinox factory store. I bought  mine from a long-time SAK collector who was getting out of the hobby. He was also the source for my Urban Chameleons and (indirectly I believe) for Def's. Believe the man lived in Switzerland for a number of years.

Shipping to the US is 23 SF, more than the 18 SF cost of the knife. And they only take bank transfers, not credit cards. So much for that.  :-\

Weeelll...
It'll cost me about 260 Norwegian kroner to get one of these delivered at my doorstep.
A normal Spartan goes for 199,-- in a local shop. So about 25% extra should buy me a knife that probably no one else in this country has.
Maybe I'll give it a try :-)

Recent talk { http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,34118.0.html } about the carabiner tool from Wenger on some of there knives made me get one of mine out and renewed my interest in it. Here is the Wenger Small Snap Shackle.

I never saw a purple cow.
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather see than be one.

I don't actually have it in hand yet but yesterday I bought a Victorinox Trail Guide online. I'm thinking it might make a good companion for my Farmer. Can't wait to get it! :gimme:
