this was on ebay listed as "Wenger Highlander Swiss Army knife in blue - Philips Faselec"

well it turns out it is a Victorinox Tinker Small from 1980-1985 (estimate)  and I got it for $7   :tu:

I love the blue color, and the inlays on both sides are actually cool.  and the scales do not look as bad as the photo indicates

Thats a LOOKER , Diggin' that BLUE!

I agree, I am rather taken with this one.  I usually favor the fat SAKs, but this is a beauty!  it is my only opaque blue SAK, and I must say,the blue does look great
If I can help, let me know

 :like: Love those pliers!!
Great pictures guys!

Here's my new acquisition, a NOS Wenger Tradesman, pre evo scales. The tang stamp puts it at 1990-2008 production date, and it walks and talks great. I'm really enjoying the toolset as it fits my urban activities well.

I'm going to start collecting Wengers more now I think.
COOL snag . Wanderer

Some of them Ol Wengers are SWEETNESS....  :D 8)

It completes the set of 3 2015 knives , which represent my Grandsons Birth year  :D 8) :ahhh :woohoo: I AM SUPER STOKED to get this one.
(i need a better condition 58mm , but have one as a place holder till I can upgrade)  :tu:

This is going to be a long one, found 2 NIB Wengers and one very very good Wenger today.

Went with a friend to a gun and knife show that comes around every few months, and I'm not a firearms guy, but I went because you just never know. Browsed through the tables and it was mostly low end mall knives and junk, got to a regular dealer and spotted the knives in question.

First is a NIB Wenger Viking, with white scales. Looking at the tang stamp I date it to be late 70's, early 80's, no holes for toothpick or tweezers.

Next is a Wenger Commander,.with the funky zebra scales and box, I'm thinking late 80's judging by the box, literature and tang stamps.

Last up is a Wenger Bass, but it seems to be missing the bass inlay. You can see there was one, but it might have fallen off or something.

I'd like to mention that all 3 knives still had factory oil on the tools and are now very clean. They were dusty, but I think it's because they just sat in his cases forever, they've never been used. The guy I bought them from has been at every gun and knife show I've been to since forever, and I speculate that these Wengers have just sat there forever and forever and never Bern touched.

Overall I'm pretty pleased, and I intend to carry all 3 of these knives and use them, unless they are super rare or collectable. If that's the case, please let me know. Sorry for the low quality pictures, my phone is old and tired.

Thanks for reading my longwinded post.

First a couple of small ones:

And...

The alox red ribbed cadet II  :ahhh

The pictures may suggest different but the condition of the red alox looks actually quite good. It's just very smudgy. Needs a good cleaning, which I will do later today. Will post more pictures after it's cleaned!

Very happy with this red cadet, it cost a whopping $ 12  :ahhh

A few of my favorite things. New to me Explorer, I think I've found the EDC that suits me best. Great companion for the Classic in my watch pocket. Pocket clip on the way.

Going insane!   :ahhh

In the past three days I've bought nine knives off ebay. Two are custom. Two are so rare I have no record of them in my notes. One finishes up a series I've been working on for years..

Stay tuned for more thrilling updates!   :D
