Anyone ever get their Surge or Wave engraved?
« on: August 23, 2010, 12:59:04 am »
Going to send my BO Surge in for engraving. So it doesn't look dorky or stupid, what have others had engraved on their multitools?

Haven't had any suggestions from friend & family, just criticism, ha! Searching on the internet hasn't helped.
And why do I want it engraved? Why not? It's going to be with me for the next 25 years or so, it needs something more than just ikky ol' black colour.  :ahhh

laser engraving doesnt work too well on bo tools, it dont so up too well. Regular engraving does, the engraving shows up bright silver.

One fellow on the Leatherman USA Facebook page has a nice looking one, engraved at the Leatherman Store.

Thanks good enough for me.

i guess it depends how deep they do it. Most places that sell bo tools dont recomend engraving them. The couple ive seen lasered was dark and hard to see, kinda like it just smoothed the bo down.

What's that first tool you have up there? :pok: Neat looking critter it is.

Sent my Surge out for engraving today, to the Leatherman factory store. Had to send to a friend and having them take it to the store, then send it back. Their store won't take payments over the phone. Some days it's nice to have friends in special places.  :D

Probably won't see my Surge till next week, and only had it a week. Missing it already. Luckily I have a Super Tool 300 to keep me company till the Surge gets back from it's return to the spawning grounds for tagging.

Think mine came out rather well. My name is on the other side of the tool too.

Laser engraved by the Leatherman Factory Store. Had to send my Surge to a friend who took it up there for me. LFS doesn't take orders over the phone, or I'd of had a Juice engraved by now.
