So I'm reviewing my fixed blade collection specifically paying most attention at my two SOGs, the Agency and the Recon.. The Agency is new to the SOG line, and the Recon has just been recently discontinued from production but is still available via Ebay or other internet cutlery haunts..
Anyhoo, I have decided that I am going to put one of these into the rotation along with my Nessmuk when travelling into the bush but I'm not too sure which would be the better choice..
The Recon yes is discontinued, but still readily available and better yet, the steel as well as the knife is made in Japan.. The Agency being completely made in Taiwan is new since 2009 but also SERIAL numbered in the low 800's which should technically make it go up in value once SOG retires it from their line at some point in the future..
Both of these have custom made leather sheaths made in the Randall style with stone pouch, leg tie, plus are made specifically for a southpaw.
So my question too all of my fellow fixed blade aficionados here is, which one would you use for play, and which would you just put away?
