"The Trade" A Chako Load
on: September 07, 2010, 02:24:47 PM
Me being the cheeky bugger that I am , I convinced/pestered Chako into a 'Gift Exchange' (otherwise known as a trade  :P :D).
I tempted Chako with an odd Spear & Jackson gardening MT with corkscrew. What I wanted was too trade for one of his odd black carbon fiber look coated LM's as the Ebay seller had seemed to stop doing them , he has since started selling them again  ::) :D :D(not black though :D)

WHAT I WANTED

BUT IT CAME IN THIS :ahhh :ahhh

The worlds most padded Micra parcel    , hell NO  :o :D :D :D :D

WOW

From the top ;  some nice hand made leather goods , the misses has claimed the peice on the left for putting in her pony tail & a leather belt buckle.8)
Some small whistles very handy for bush walking/camping,some key chains & lanyard(always handy),Canadian Armed forces promo pen & wrist band 8),
Canadian wildlife bookmarks with info on back  8) 8), key ring bottle opener(always handy  ::) :D :D :D),Canadian Tire 'Cash'(bonus vouchers) actually look/feel like proper money  :o :D :D,Canadian nickel very odd felling coin, it is very light & the Canadian Tire promo coin feels more like a genuine coin than the real thing :o :D. Very cool maple leaf coaster (that is going on the BBQ this summer :D).
Finally the MT's not one coated LM's but 3  :o 8) 8).
The thing I like most is the Vintage Canadian made kitchen MT it is a WONDERFUL oddity  8) 8) 8).

I think I like the camo coated LM the best  8)

The old MT is a Canadian Master Kitchen Tool & was used as a kitchen MT to be used for opening jam lids. Chako thinks the wirer cutters were for cutting wire that was used to hold lids on jars. I used the bottle opener to successfully open a Coke lid that was stuck fast on a bottle  8) 8).

Chako has been very generous in his support of fund-raising for MTO members & donating items for auctions , so I knew he was generous chap BUT I was not prepared for the mountain of stuff he sent me. A sincere thank you Dan    :salute: :salute:
I hope to exchange gifts with you again mate so I can try & square the ledger mate  :pok: :pok: :D :D :D.

Mat.

That it does Def. :D

They are made by a real banknote company...and people do collect them.

The Large nickel is made out of aluminum and is a commemorative piece from Sudbury Ontario, a city about 2.5 hours drive away. Famous for having one of the richest nickel deposits on this planet.

Happy that the missus likes some of my leather pieces.

I just threw a bit of Canadiana in there Mat, items you probably haven't come across all the way on the other side of the planet.  :B:

Nah, your package was perfect. There is no need to square away any ledgers.  :salute:
