They were very very cheap    I will spend some of the money I saved on sand paper, files and materials to make sheaths

I to have just got the second from the bottom. If yours are like mine they need a lot of work on the edge. Still I am up for a challenge!

They were soooo cheap I thought I should get the whole set   

The steel is nice and springy but there is just a square bit where the edge should be 

But I had expected to do a lot of work on both the handle and the blades

Belt grinder here I come

If you have a spare half hour look back through this thread, its a testament to my lack of will power when it comes to choppers

You have some cool toys there Sparky. In the bush you just can't beat a hatchet/small axe. I never go into the bush by myself without 1 of my hatchets. Only time i don't take one, is when i am running a survival course, the people i get on my courses don't like them.

The head is soaking in vinegar at the moment, this time before I fix it to the haft
