Hi everyone, my name is Dominique Buzon and I'm addicted to multitools since I received my first Swiss army knife when I was a boy scout.
Now I have a little son (7) and he made his first Spartan on the assembly tool in the Victorinox flagship store, he is so happy and wants to use every implement on it lol. I purchased items of various different brands and I decided to subscribe after seeing all the marvels of modding on the forum and the good atmosphere here.
My absolute favorite multitool still don't exist, it would be a modular knife, maybe for one day?
Excuse my bad English, my native language is French.

P.S. Is there a like or thanks button? I didn't see but I found some posts deserve it really :-)

Welcome aerocap.  What a wonderful first SAK for your son  :tu:.  Being able to make it in the flagship store makes it even better, especially with dad.

Hi guys, im Steven from Texas, and I've actually been browsing for a couple days. Mostly im interested in Modding some Leatherman's (and collecting more!!!), but I have been looking at SAKs again because of this site. My first multi was a SAK my dad got me (Explorer I think?) for joining Boy Scouts, followed by a LM Kick a few years later. Since then ive aquired a Sidekick, and recently, an Original Wave (in bad shape, might I add). Ill probably be posting to the modding forum soon, but I already feel like this community is going to be great, based on what I have read so far

So...
I've been lurking around the forum for awhile, but just now decided to register.
My multitool history started with the first episode of MacGiver, where I saw a SAK for the first time. I mean, I had seen pocket knives before, but never a Swiss Army Knife. It was a pivotal moment.
From then on, I was hooked!
I'm from Portugal, and around here is not very common to be walking around with a folder in your pocket, however, a small SAK seems to be well accepted, since is more tool than knife, even if it has a blade.
That being said, I started to carry a folder on a regular basis, a couple of years ago, along with a small SAK or Leatherman, but I was getting weird looks whenever I needed to pull out my blade to cut something up, or open a box, or whatever...
So I decided to carry only multitools on my person at least for the time being).

Hi,

Greetings from Poland!

I got my nickname "Ivan" in primary school after the guy who tried to punch Rocky Balboa

I used to make knives since I'm 14 (fixed blades only). Now too much work and no time to back to my hobby, so I prefer to modify what I already have. I own Victorinox Nomad and Leatherman Rebar. I got the Rebar after my old Pulse according to 25 years warranty, but I don't like the lack of scissors. I will try to add them, so I'm here to ask and learn from your experience. And sorry for my poor English, I hope I'm comprehensible enough.

Hi! I figured that the first thing I should post on this forum is some info about me, so here goes
My name is Conor. I've been using SAKs for all my life - my first knife was a Minichamp that I got (after quite a few months of begging) as a present for getting my first communion. I grew up in Oregon (and plan to move back out there for sure once I finish school), which meant I was almost always around the woods. I put my minichamp to the test carving big sticks and such with my friends in the downtime between building our tree fort. After a year or something (can't remember exactly how long), I became jealous of my friend's knife, which was a 91mm SAK that had red Boy Scout handles and a saw on it. My best guess is that it was a Hiker, or a model very similar to it. Anyway, I ended up purchasing a Huntsman - which I put to work immediately. After using it for the next 4 or so years to carve 3 inch thick sticks, fell small trees with the saw, even to cut a 2x8 in half, I developed a strong connection and trust with the brand, which remains with me to this day.
Anyway, that's my little history rant. I'm really excited to get to know everyone here! :like:

Hi, I have lurked around here off and on for awhile, decided to give it a try.

My current favorite MT is the  previous gen leatherman charge tti. I've owned a few LMs throughout the years but I like this one.
I also have a handful of the LM squirts and skeletools.

My main interest is knives though.  Older Kershaws and ZT's. I have had a bunch of different Alox Saks and the like too!

Got a few G-shocks and flashlights to go with the collection too!

Anywho,  hi and thanks for having me!
