Kobalt 3-Blade Folding Utility Knife
« on: November 03, 2010, 04:58:57 PM »
Here's the tool: http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?partNumber=278611-16878-50887

Picked this up yesterday at Lowes (along with a nice, interchangeable saw that I'd wanted for a while), but haven't had time to do anything but open it up to inspect it.  Does anyone have one of these?  What do you think of it?

My initial impressions are: I like the heft.  I like the look of the traditional knife blade.  I like a similar, utility-knife-only Craftsman folder, so at the very least it looks to be as good as that one.  I like that it has a clip, and the sheath is soft nylon but big enough to easily hold the knife.  For $16 it seems like a pretty good tool is you need a heavy-duty knife with a variety of ways to cut things.

When I have time to take my own pictures of it, I'll try to post them.
