Possible to reverse the handles of a PPP to make the tools outside opening?

What do you think? If you dissemble the tool, and rotate the plier hinge to put the tool compartment on the outside, would you be able to reinstall the plier head? Looking at this picture made me think it could be possible. Would be very nice!

You'd have to make a cutout in the handle for the plier head to fold in to. The whole tool would end up looking similar to a Bear and Son MT.

I wonder if doing the cut outs would compromise the integrity of the PPP's handles 

Bear's are quite stout & I reckon the handles are a fair bit thicker than the SOG's

I do not have a PPP but I have thought about it with my PowerLock, and I always come back to the same issues: tools and locks

While the locks are not a problem on the PPP on the PL the are too long for it to work

Tools the butt of each tool is not symmetrical and so if you fliped them to make plyers they would likly not fit properly

but as I said that is all based on the powerlock
