Joined the Juice Club with a used S2. It was a bit grimey when I got it so gave it a bath and lubed with INOX MX3. I repeatedly opened and closed all the tools and the pliers to try and loosen them up. Then gave it a good spray and let it sit for a couple of days to let the INOX penetrate. When I picked it up, PLINK! The piece in the photo dropped out and fell on the floor. =[

It was sitting with the pliers deployed and I didn't get a chance to move any of the mechanism before the piece fell out. I don't think I was being too forceful when wearing the tools in, certainly wasn't pushing them beyond their limits. So strange that it didn't pop out while in my hands. It was sitting in a hot (40C+/100F+) garage, not sure if that had anything to do with it. Can anyone suggest how/why these parts fracture?

Fingers crossed Australian Leatherman Service is as good as in the US.

Such a failure happens on LM JUICE. Treatment of mild - it is necessary to find a donor, disassemble and put a spring in place (I did this by lightly tapping the spring until it snaps into place)

US prices make me cry

LM JS2 currently retailing for $109.95AUD (maybe $130US) at my swissarmyknife store in Oz.

I suppose I should be happy the listing tells me its reduced from $128.95  :D

Ouch! If I find a new Juice for $20 I will ship one to you. It's a hit or miss on these discount stores. Not all of them are stocked the same. My wife shops at Ross a lot and usually have to try another store close by to get something in her size and that too is not guaranteed.

Or £36 for a smooth scale C2 from an industrial supplies company called CPC.   Personally I don't rate corkscrew and no scissors, that's more for SAK users who want pliers  :pok: but interestingly a couple of days ago 191 were available, today 143, so they are selling.

Was at Ross yesterday. They did not have any Juices. They had a few Crocs for $6, two Rimes for $10 and a 2 pack Style PS for $20.

This is getting worse - 1 Style PS costs $48 AUD (~56? USD) over here  :rant:

However not so keen on the Style - I like its style and looks - But it's a wee bit small for me and I have a PS4 = more tools
