Yorkshire lad checking in
on: January 10, 2011, 10:32:27 PM
Hi folks, new to this forum, but not new to shiny things and sharp things. I was actually invited over by another member who had nothing but good things to say about you all.

I've been a knife and tool user for a good few years, (knives first, multitools much later) which over recent years spread into axes and other things that keeps moving my bank account's decimal point to the left. Looking forward to sharing thoughts and ideas with you all, and gleaning some of the deeper knowledge.

A climber as well I suspect?

Climber? No - if that's a guess from the screen name you need to be thinking more horizontal than vertical (it's a type of boat)

Welcome!  What all do you have?

Thank you. I'd be very hard pressed to list ALL, but to give you a flavour ...

Multitools ... Vic Swisstool, Juice CS4, Squirt P4, Gerber Suspension, Vic Tourist, Vic Deluxe Tinker, Case camper with pliers, Wengergrip

Knives ... mainly folders (prob about 30 or so slipjoints, only a few locking), Mora Miki, CS Bushman Belt Knife and Finn Wolf, Muela Jabali (Stag/Brass), a Brussletto I forgot the name of, Iisakki Jaavenpaa puuko, 20" machette ... plus other sharp variants (neckers etc)

Axes/Saws etc ... 2x Granny B's, Roughneck fibreglass splitting maul, wood grenade, Vaughan mini, Bahco Laplander

Quite diverse, nothing really in the way of safe queens (other than a Queen double muskrat that never quite makes it out of the box), all my tools tend to get used (but not abused) and that means bumps scratches and everything else that goes with a working life of a tool.

Thanks, and no I don't charter, and if you saw the type of boat in question you'd understand why - LOL
A narrowboat - British canal boat, think of it as a floating caravan or RV.
