Walking by the KaBar booth right at the end of the show today I happened to spot something I just had to go and see- these new black coated, bright green handled KaBar knives!

I asked the rep what they were and he said they were the ZK series.  Like a fool, I asked what the ZK stood for, and he said "Zombie Killers."  :D

I want one.... or more.... the MSRP on these is $75 and under, so it's actually a really good price for these too- plus they come with black scales too, just in case stealth is an important part of your zombie hunting technique!

These should be released by the end of the month- apparently they are ready to go.  I'm pretty certain I'll be picking at least one up for testing and evaluation, so I'll post a full review when I do.  In the meantime, I didn't take a lot of pics of them, but I do have the official media issue photos (I'll have to post them later- I'm getting ready for the show now!) and I'll see if I can snap a few more today if I find myself near their booth again.

That green works well these days on knife scales, Spyderco had them on one of their
Endura models and it was a hit.  Hopefully it'll work for Kabar as well.  They look great
btw.  :tu:

Indeed, about the only one I could see myself practically using.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Those look very very nice, and priced nicely too. That first fixed blade really has my interest. If it is AUS-8, I'm actually pleased, it's one of my favorite beater steels.

You loose those knives in the woods.  You'll prove Darwinism works everytime it would be used ::)

Some run from breaks of ice, and answer none:
And some condemned for a fault alone." -William Shakespeare, King Lear (1608), Act IV, scene 6, line 169
