Some Interesting People at SHOT 2011
on: January 20, 2011, 06:34:14 AM
Here are some people I have met this year so far.

First up is an old buddy, Abe Elias, Assistant Editor of Knives Illustrated, wishing he was Irish.... :D

This young lady looked really good in a tight T shirt and short denim skirt, so I learned a lot about Truck Vault's products...

These ladies got excited when they saw me walking by the booth- at least until the realized Bob wasn't with me.  They managed to smile for me anyway...

I was also lucky enough to catch Rachel at AAC, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a picture with her!

Not only did I get a picture with Mixed Martial Arts fighter and occasional movie star Randy Couture, he also signed a water bottle for me!

This last one you may not know by sight, but you owe him a thanks if you have ever owned or used a tactical knife- Ernest Emerson pretty well single handedly created the tactical knife market!

I've seen a few other people, mostly people I already know and have gotten pictures with before, so I didn't want to bore you all with reruns- guys like Michael D Janich (Spyderco), Brian Tighe (CRKT), Tom Stokes (CRKT), Les de Asis (Benchmade), Glenn Klecker (CRKT) and so on.

That's about it- I'm exhausted and sore, so I'm off to bed!

There was more than one thing about her- not only does she look good in pictures, but she was a real spitfire in person too.  For the life of me I can't remember what brand it was, but that was a gun manufacturer's booth.  I'll probably pass it again today as it's right up front, and I'll see if I can move my eyes off her enough to see what the company is!

That was the K-VAR booth.  www.k-var.com

I met this gentleman today too- Ed Halligan, creator of the K.I.S.S. series of knives.

Ready?  Hell, we has done before the camera even finished booting up!   :o

Here are a few other people I met up with.

Chris@SOG and Youtube gear reviewer Nutnfancy:

CRKT designer Glenn Klecker and one of the random women that seem to follow him around:

Of course, she's only with Glenn this year because Bob didn't show up.  Here's a couple of Bob's friends trying to entice him to make sure he comes down next year!

I have another photo with Steven Dick, Editor of Tactical Knives and Justin Gingrich from Ranger Knives, but I took it before I realized I hadn't put the memory card back in my camera, and I was saving pics on the internal camera memory.  And, since I didn't bring a cable for my camera, that pic and a few others will have to wait until I get home in a few days.

I'm surprised none of the Mythbusters are there.

You know, just to find a new toy to help J.D.Nelson and Frank Doyle blow up a myth

What?  Is he a baby?  Tell his wife to dress up like that and he won't have to go to the shows in Vegas.

While I agree the redhead is fairly fine, this is more my style!
