Sorry mate, I know there are fans of the Douk-Douk (both here and elsewhere), but I'm not one of them.  Ugly, poorly constructed and uncomfortable IMO.  Better getting an Opinel.

When I mentioned it was a Japanese Douk earlier there was plenty of

  They may look similar but the Higonokami is much much better

Gee with all the bad things people say about the Douk, Douk it's really forcing me
to consider a couple of weeks edc with it just to see if it's really all that bad? 
I've carried it around for a day or two at most and found it to be solid, sharp as
hell and a pretty good slicer giving it's blade grind and thinness.
It's a bit ugly, and has a pretty snappy backspring but I like my Douk's.
