Smith & Wesson mini pliers tool
« on: February 26, 2011, 05:47:50 AM »
Hi all,
I mentioned in a Leatherman PS4 post that I had (what I think is) an uncommon mini multi tool. I figured Id post it here for general interests.

It is a Smith & Wesson mini pliers tool. It's frame is nearly identical in style and size to a leatherman micra. it has a pliers, a regular blade, a serrated blade, a nail file, large flat head screw driver w/ bottle opener, phillips screw driver in leatherman style, scissors, small flat head, and a circle thing :)

Here is a picture, sorry for the bad quality I took it with webcam but can repost a better picture if people are interested.

I have never seen a Smith & Wesson multitool, but I assume it's likely the same build quality as the rest of the S&W/Taylor line, which is unimpressive at best.

Remington and Winchester tools are also pretty well the same- absolute bottom quality tools with a fancy name on them to bump up the price and maximize the profits.

Seems like it might be a mash-up of Taiwan and USA parts.

As for other comment, Its quality wasn't good enough to prevent me from buying a PS4, but I just leave it in my fishing kit as extra knife / pliers. On the same note, its quality isn't as poor as some of these "value" tools from walmart.

The Baby Mag Tool was made in Taiwan, according to what it says on the box. :) It is actually quite well made. I think it would compare favorably with the SOG CrossGrip for instance. :)
