I've never seen a 111mm without scales.
I say go with the green though, it's my personal fav.

Btw that picture of all 3 side by side is akin to watching 3 beautiful naked women having a pillow fight or something.

I believe we need a video, or invitation to watch, to get a proper comparison between your analogy.  :D

Well this is what happens when you just can't pick one color and be happy.

I found the DD scales are easier to remove and easier to install that the Nylon scales. I use heat when I do it to reduce the amount of material that is removed from the contact points during removal. I hope the easier removal and installation does not mean they are not as durable long term. The DD scales may not do as well in extreme heat, I wouldn't leave a DD scaled SAK on the dashboard when the summer heat is in force.

Maybe this will help Victorinox decide if they should offer an OHT-BO in North America.

OK, that is sexy.

Not as sexy as a mod with the Master's file moved into a Hunter XT with the orange scales, but the Ghille will probably never be made. :P

Did you do the blackening? If so, what did you use?

Or is that just the camera angle....

Sorry for the confusion; those are all factory OHT-BO knives.  The first image is of the knives I had to borrow the scales from, close look you'll see one of those is a Dual Pro-X.  Now I need someone that can make me some nice 111mm scales to get them prepared for action.

The standard 111 mm scales in red and black are available via www.schweizer-messer.eu, for example. I don´t know if they ship internationally, but i could forward them, if necessary.
If you´d be interested in some GAK scales, drop me a line, I have some take-offs, i think that would be yours for tha stamp on teh envelope.

Did you use a BO Vic for some time? Does the finish stay?
