Over here we have always been fed the propaganda that life in the USSR was stark, bleak and utilitarian.  I know that's an extremely jaded view left over from the Cold War, but since I've never been to Russia to change that idea it sort of sticks in my head.

Seeing the works of art that you are finding shows that much of what we've been told about life in Russia just can't be true.  Not that I believed it (I always knew there had to be more) but your photos and collection always offer solid proof!

I wonder if we can put a non-facebook like on posts and threads :think: I belong to another board that does this. It's not at all related to Facebook. You can just click like on the post or thread and a small dialog box shows that you clicked the like button.
