Looking to find a Little Cigar Carton Crush Proof Holder
« on: May 12, 2011, 01:54:35 PM »
Does anyone know of a hard sided "little cigar" carton holder (same size as a carton of 100mm cigarettes)? I'm looking for something to protect the carton of cigars I usually carry in my EDC bag.

Size in inches: 10 3/4 x 4 x 1 7/8

Thanks

A case for a whole carton? Can't say that I've seen that at my local smoke shop. I have a couple pack-size hard cases for my cigarettes, I make my own. Next week when I go to the shop I'll ask the owner if it's something he can get. If he can, I'll grab it and get it to you.

That would be awesome, Thanks

I had looked at single pack holders (they're everywhere here since rolling your own is about 1/7 the price in Michigan), and thought that with a little duct tape, and some Red Green instructional videos, something could be cobbled together. But I'm hoping to find something a little more professional.

A Red Green-style case would certainly be unique  :). Rolling your own here in Jersey is a bit more expensive than where you are, but not by too much. Pennsylvania is only half an hour from here, and their tobacco prices are ridiculously cheap compared to here. The cases I have are nice and simple, but almost indestructible and cheap if they do die.

Thanks everyone.

I looked at different cases, that would be around the right size but not over sized:
  • Pelican 1060 Micro Case
  • Witz Utility Locker I
  • Otterbox 3250
By the dimensions listed, all 3 would hold 8 packs of 100mm comfortably. But the Witz is slightly deeper and should accommodate the other 2 packs sideways.

I may have to order one and see...

And for the sake of posting a picture, derailing the thread and not contributing anything to the OP. ;)

The state is upset because tobacco companies are labeling their cigarette tobacco as pipe tobacco to avoid the excess taxes imposed on "cigarette" tobacco.

Now everybody is using the "pipe tobacco" in these machines.

At 1/3 the price of a carton of Marlboro's it's a great deal if you choose to smoke. I'm mostly e-cig now.

The Roll-Your-Own cigarette machines that are popping up all over the place since the new taxes in Michigan.

Well I went ahead and ordered the Witz Utility Locker I, and it came in last week.

It's very compact looking, and streamlined on the exterior:

With the interior being very open and roomy:

It doesn't have the incredibly thick sides, nor the molded reinforcements of an OtterBox:

But the plastic is very strong, with no flex.
It has an airtight rubber seal, with pull down latches that make it completely waterproof, molded loops on each end for lashing down, and a full length piano hinge, with what appears to be a brass pin:

And while I could not get a whole carton into it, it holds 9 packs very well:

It comes in several colors, and Witz also makes a accessory for it, an interior foam block and lid liner. The foam is cut to fit snugly in the case, and pre-perforated for easy customization.

Cool, looks like it will do the job nicely.

I use the small one for 7 cigarettes - light smoker to it suits me and has kept them dry and safe.
