Atwood tools are by no means meant to substitute for full sized tools. They are meant to be handy pocket/keychain tools. The wrenches fit as well as a Snapon wrench--which is amazing in its own right. Pry tips are as good as any at that length.
His designs are visually pleasing, easily pocketed, and (at least the steel ones) work as advertised. That fact that he is as much an artisan as toolmaker adds a level of charm to the tools.
As an aside, my latest version PocketToolX Piranha is also a very handy tool, although significantly larger than an Atwood. I have no qualms in recommending them as a EDC pocket tool.
As you may have found out cerebra, the Titanium one piece tools mar and ding much more easily than steel ones. While I occasionally pick up Ti Atwoods (and JDR's), for EDC only steel tools.
