OK, strange question.... would the carbon scraper on the MUT be good for scraping the hardened gum off hedge shears? (I currently use sandpaper)

Anyone wanna try for me?

Hi new to the forum and recently a proud owner of a leatherman MUT.
Don't know if the club is still active, but here is my MUT.
If there is a sign of life, I will post some more cool photos in the future...:)

Found a .45 doublestack magazine pouch that was not currently in use for any meaningful purposes.

I think I will take the pocket clip off of my MUT. I find it gets in the way.

Been carrying my MUT now on my freetime. It is an excellent pipe cleaner with that scraper. The tool is also starting to get some nice wear, since carrying it in my work didn't work out.

Looks like a great sheath for it.   :tu:

Yea, agree with you. My clip is off and I find it WAY more comfortable.

Putting a MUT in there is a very meaningful purpose. I like that sheath a lot!!!

Would like to add a metal file to my MUT and just saw the posts on Page 5 about using the Surge file and MUT bit holder. Does anyone know if the Surge file could be stored in one of the MUTs bit compartments after some grinding with a Dremmel,   or is it not even close?

I'd love to see a general purpose civilian version of the MUT.

Remove: Disassembly Punch, Scraper.
Add:  File, separate Serrated Blade, Scissors, Awl, and Wood Chisel.
Keep: Hammer, Onboard tool bits, and the tapered handle on one side.

Kinda like a cross between a MUT and a Surge.

Note:  No need for screwdrivers since there is a bit driver already.

Can this be done?  We'll call it the CUT.

That would be a great idea! I would buy a civil version of the MUT instantly!  I think the signal goes that way a little bit, but still the MUT is more massive and military style.

I got my MUT EOD this week. I love it so far but I have some troubles with the belt clip. It is too strong and I rip my pockets when I try to use it there. Also it is impossible to use it on a belt. The gap is way too small. Any suggestions?

Would putting a washer under the clip where each bolt comes through (to make the gap bigger) help?

The MUT is a very nice tool that oddly doesn't get talked about so much.  Glad you finally ordered yours.  Hope you will post up pictures when it arrives.

Always love the look of the MUT, I love to own one but its really suited for gun owners. Has anyone used it outside of what its intended purpose is?
