I jumped in this pool today.  I bought a used Skeletool and a Skeletool CS.  I am so behind on photos.  Hopefully tonight.
Dang that must have been cold, I would have waited till summer, lol, JR

You must be on the east coast?  Down here in Tejas it is 70 degrees F, sunny and blue skies in all directions :D At $20 each I couldn't refuse to take them home.
 warmth! Actually I'm in the middle but up north in Mi, Still very sunny blue sky's, but there's this white stuff and no grass! we haven't seen above 30 in over three weeks, until today, we finally broke 35! JR

You can have it.  I'll take the mosquitoes over the snow any time. Meanwhile sending warm thoughts toward you and Bob.  At least you have your MT's to look at when it is too cold to go outside.
Err, mosquitoes! I hate them things just what is the point of them besides to make your life and bbq's miserable?

Yeah, well keep in mind that the mosquitos in the south are about 1/2 the size of the mosquitos in MI....  They're easier to deal with.

I'll take anything I can hit with a shotgun over the Asian Tiger Mosquito, Anadopholus(sp?) and the brown an black swamp mosquitoes. With encephalitis, West Nile and a few other really killer diseases an option with every bite I might come out pretty good on the trade.... <grin>

I'm really liking my new (to me) Skele after carrying it a few days.  Before I bought it, I read several reviews that mentioned that the grip was uncomfortable when using the pliers.  I tend to agree, but smoothing/rounding off the outside edge next to the bit lock with a medium stone made a big improvement to the comfort for me.  The edge no longer grinds into my palm.

Hopefully you can see what I mean in this pic. It's a bit over-exposed on the rounded edge.:

Right hand use is good but try holding it in your left hand. :-\ Not so nice.

Luckily I'm right handed. :D

Me too, but before I worked on it I tried it in my left hand and thought it actually felt better than in my right hand.  Perhaps mine was sharper than some.  If I were left handed, I would likewise do the same as above and round off the outside edge of the other side of that handle.  It should work similarly.

Sold my serrated blade skeletool. I just prefer plain edge. Luckily a CX came up on the for sale threads. I haven't had a 154cm blade in a bit. It makes it worth putting up with the odd clip.  I've been pairing it with a Vic executive lately and they work pretty well together. The only thing I miss is a decent file.

My regular Skele has been kicking ass at the hangar this past week.  Cutting up boxes into templates to cut wheel pants, pulling and cutting safety wire, turning the occasional screw.  It's perfect.  It actually lets me go faster.  Any other design (say, the Wingman) I'd be forever digging at nail nicks to pry out drivers and such.  Not the Skele.  Click, click, you're there.

I'm still waiting for my new Skeletool to arrive , but that's the joys of living on the other side of the world .
Because I'm getting excited and thinking about Skeletools I thought I might put up some pics of a couple of sheaths I've made for my old one .

I'm in, had one for a year / 18 months and do really like it a lot. Thought it was time it posed for the camera!

(Image removed from quote.)

Not that it matters too much but check out the un-even grind on the blade. Anyone else's like this? Appreciate it will come out over time and sharpening but should be better IMO from the factory.

Atb, Jon.

Mine had the very uneven grind too. Funnily enough just on the same side as yours, the other was OK. Took ages with a Lansky to get rid of the unevenness and hone the edges perfectly.
The other side of the blade was ground perfectly OK by the way, so I am sure it's a defect, rather than a deliberate way of grinding the blade to increase tip strength, as mentioned previously.
That stuff bugs me a lot till I can fix it.
