Can anyone help me find more information on this knife?
« on: August 16, 2011, 02:24:17 AM »
Well Dennis gave me a wonderful extra. After looking at it closely, I couldn't make heads or tails of it. After talking with Dennis, he tells me it is a Russian knife. It certainly is a beautifully decorated knife.

After doing an online search, I found that most Russian knives have the prices stamped on them because prices were fixed in communist Russia. This knife has the price of 47p35k. This translates into 7 rubles, 35 kopeks. The thread I gleamed this information from did not have the photos posted, so I have no clue if the knife is the same as the one Dennis gave me.

Anyone have any more information on this beauty? I would love to hear about it.

I can't tell you anything about it, but if was in my collection, I would name it Comrade Zhukov. And keep it away from the influences of those effete Swiss running dogs. Or worse, the imperialist Americans with their rock and roll. :D

So... Large blade, small blade, corkscrew, scissors, what looks like a combo can/bottle opener, and two awls. Two? Or is one a file?

Wait a second, I think I've got the tool to fix this in my bag.
