Count me in! Mine is from August 1997.

It still works like a champ after all these years. This is its first pic ever.

I eventually replaced it with a CORE and then a ST300 but it remains the one that started the Super family and all...

And I still love it! The serrated blade combined the best of stabbing performance and cutting ability.

My toys:

MTs: Surge (2x), Skeletool CX, Rebar, Blast, Fuse, Micra, Squirt (3x), Wave, Crunch, Mini, Spirit (2x), Pro Scout, MP700 (2x), Diesel, Powerlock, PowerPlier (2x), PocketPowerPlier, Blacktip , ST6 (2x), 5WR, A100

SAKs: Bantam, Executive, Ambassador, Minichamp, Classic Alox, Champion, Farmer, Explorer, Swisschamp, Golf Tool, Wenger Champ, EVO 52, Pocket Tool Chest

Great pics and welcome to the club :multi: I am inspired to carry mine today since you put these pics up :tu: Probably won't need it for anything today but if I do it will definitely be able to do whatever I need to do with this fine tool :D

Hello.

I have an original Super Tool that I purchased back in the '90s.  It came with a nylon sheath with the red letter stitching.  I looked on LM's site to see if I could find a leather sheath for it, but the OST wasn't listed on any of them.

Does anyone know where I can get a LM leather sheath for it?

Thanks!

welcome to the forum LHW

If you want an original one your best bet is to look on E-bay. They do come up  once and awhile.

I have been carrying mine a lot lately because of the challenge in the General Tool section and forgot how great of a tool it was and in such a slim profile

If it had push locks like the Supertool 300 and Rebar than there would have been no need for the Supertool 300 or Rebar 8)

I wish it did, but that would add bulk/weight, which would make it even harder to pocket carry.  At least for me anyway.

That's true but if it had locks similar in size to the ones on the Blast then I don't think it would be as bad and might not even add much bulk at all  :tu:

Good point :tu:  Too bad they won't rework that on retired tools.  That would be most excellent.

I'm finally back in this club.  Got a Mint, completely unused ST with leather sheath off ebay the other day.  It's a 1198 model, and still had the original oil stuck between the blades.  It had seriously never been used at all, even the sticker was still on it.  A bit stiff at first but it loosened up after I oiled properly.
