Does anyone know what model this is?
Main blade layer/Phillips screwdriver, opener layer/awl, wood saw/fine screwdriver, metal saw/chisel with standard inserts and nylon hot stamped scales.

And it is only a four layer, there isnt' like broken scissors or anything in there?

The photos show it all. I have looked it over pretty thoroughly and it does not appear to be modded. I might take the scales off to be sure.

It's not a mod, it's just some weird knife Vic made back in the mid 90s. Seems to be part of a series of odd eco-scaled special runs Vic made at that time - along with the Motorist, WMF tool (SwissChamp minus fishscaler), etc. I have one, and I've seen several pop up of the years on eBay.

It doesn't have a real name AFAIK. The standard "made up name" conventions work something like this:

- Take a scissors from model "xxxx", and it's a "xxxx Jr"
- Add a saw to model "yyyy", and it's a "yyyy Plus"

so, obviously, this is a Grand Prix Jr Plus.

Wayne,

You're coming up with some odd-ball stuff. I don't even have a picture of that in my notes, let alone a name. Looks like a Space Shuttle someone forgot to put the scissors on. Very nice find!

That's different.  Since vic is not known for high density tool backs, I'd say it was a special run for someone or a mod... for some reason I'm leaning towards a mod.  Interesting knife though.

Like I said above - it's not a mod. I have one, and have pulled the scales off to verify. These come up on eBay every 6 mos or so - often enough to assume it was just a special run. Always the same tools from the same era and same economy scales. Definitely not a mod. Maybe a special run for SMKW? Vic has done weird stuff for them before.
