New Addition to my knife collection
« on: January 01, 2008, 02:10:40 AM »
I went to Sportsman Warehouse today to look at (buy) knives. I had my eye on a SOG Twitch II. I had always wanted a SOG just to diversify my collection. Just before I said "I'll take it" I see the Spyderco display (sparkly things tend to catch my attention easily) I go over to look at the Delicas and notice the Delica 4 is on sale for...................wait for it...................$31.00. Obviously the SOG will have to wait because I snatched up the Spyderco in an instant.

This is the newer version of the venerable Delica series and I love the improvements they made over the Delica 3. Like a clip that can be moved to all four locations. I really like the implementation of the Torx on each end and for the clip itself. I got the full serrated version because it is maily for cutting rope, etc.

This is one cool knife and a price that made my day!

$31.00! :o I hope you bought them all :D

J, the whole knife is different from the D3. The handle is a different shape and the blade is thicker at the point than the D3. I personally prefer the D4 but a lot of people think the tip is too thick now. :)

It's a beauty..good to see that I'm not the only one that admires traditional slipjoints.

I like slipjoints as well.  Out of the last several knife and tool purchases, I have not bought a locking blade for some time.

They need more implementation on other knives from other brands. A one-hand folder from the likes of Spyderco/Benchmade with glow handles would be the most.

I like the Stay glow because it is hard to lose them if they are dropped in the woods when it is daylight or dark.  Besides, when you go night fishing it is easier to find when you lay it down somewhere because when you go night fishing you inevitably will sit what tool you use the most in the place where it will least likely be found when you need it.
