Really?! I love those elastic metalic bracelets.

My great grandfather had one and I loved that watch! Now I'm going to have to find one for me!

Going from air to sea today i gifted myself a new orient mako with pepsi bezel. It was a long hunt until i could source one locally with the rubber band. Loving it so far.

Pepsi bezel? Is there any reason or practical utility in a bezel with 15 minutes in a different color? I mean, is that only for decoration, or is there any intentional utility in that design?

Pepsi refers to the combination of colours and its a dive feature. In my particular case even though im gonna use it in the ocean, im not gonna dive with it so its just because i like it.

For the real purpose of a pepsi bezel here is an old post in watchuseek that will explain it better than me http://forums.watchuseek.com/f74/purpose-pepsi-bezel-657062-2.html

Been wearing my Skagen all titanium Disney watch lately. Usually wear it if I'm dressed up but decided to wear it all the time this past week.

Not wearing it but wanted to share with you a couple of watches I got from my great grandfather (yup, you read that right). I use the Cauny when I have to dress-up (suit and tie), really feels like a gentleman's watch.

You can see the pics below, here are some "stats" on the watches:

Ressort incassable
Ancre 15 rubis
Antimagnetic

Back:
Swiss made – Fond Acier Inoxidable – Lunette – Carrure Plaqué Or G. 10 Microns
Cauny Prima (plus a fleur-de-lis in a circle)
DeLuxe

INVAR

Inside back cover:
(Silver 0,800)
Ancre de haute précision
INVAR
Réglage Breguet a Courbe
Théorique de Philipps
Médaille D’Or
Milan 1906

(sorry for the smurfy pics...)

I'm wearing my 1980s era Rolex GMT Master with the classic Pepsi bezel. This watch can take a beating and still run great and look great. I wear this about 99% of the time, and really only take it off in the shower, where I wash it daily.

Thanks. The leather band is not original. The original band was brown leather. I thought it would look better with a black leather band, and it does IMO :)
