Nice watch

I wore my DW-004 today.  It's pretty beat up but it won't quit, sadly the strap is a replacement and a bad one at that.

I'd probably replace it with a cheap nato strap if I were you.

I ABSOLUTLY love those watches, I just wish they had numbers on the hours rather then just markers. JR

Well, the first gen. Monsters have minute markers (but no hour markers). Other than that, Seiko drivers are quite easy to mod, so if you were really keen you could replace the dial for one with hour markers.

I've seen a couple of them converted with diff dials but to nothing of what I like. I've got a dozen diff watches, and none have that perfect feel.. But a monster with that massive bezel and offset crown would be perfect so long as the dial was what I wanted. JR

Last couple of weeks I've been wearing my Suunto Core "All Black", and I must say I really like it a lot  8).

During my vacation in Austria I wore it every day, most of the time in very bad weather  ::).  I must confess that I also took my Casio Riseman with me in my camera-bag, the Riseman was my vacation watch for the last couple of years, and since I had no long-time experience with the Suunto, I wanted to have a back-up plan in case something went wrong with the Suunto.  And I also wanted to compare both of them to see how accurate they were as alti-meter.

During my week in Austria I noticed that the Suunto was the most accurate alti-meter of the two, (probably because you can rule out pressure changes due to the weather on that one),  Most of the time, the Suunto was, give or take 5 meter, spot on, while the Casio was sometimes of by more than 50 meter (one time the Casio "lost" 200 meter during the night).

Here are some pics from my Vacation in Austria:
