Moran vs. Mora
« on: November 04, 2011, 01:32:53 AM »
I'm looking at buying a mid-priced fixed blade and came across the Spyderco Moran and Mora Bushcraft survival.  Both are about the same price.  Any experience with either?

Spyderco is a good brand but so isn't Mora. I'd suggest a Mora clipper, as I have 4 of them. :) :tu:

Mora bushcraft survival is the same knife as their $15 offerings, just a fancy sheath, not worth the extra money IMO.

I have a Moran but haven't used it, they are about the same length, but moran is wider, and handle is smaller if I recall. The sheath on Moran is one of the best ever on a production knife too. The grind on Moran is better suited for general utility whereas Mora is more suited for wood/plant.
