Carrying the Piranha in a Charge sheath, in the elastic retainer area. Though lately it is bugging me when reaching for my Charge TTi and my thumb nail hits the end every time. The MTO saw blade I can fit in on an angle so it is not as annoying.

Am wondering if anyone has found a way to carry their Piranha comfortably, and/or found a sheath or some other form of carry.

Mine fit in a L-Shield nearly perfectly.

I currently have on the way a S30V version, a limited Ti (005/100) version and I own a 440 and BO versions. Love this tool!

If you only sewed in leather.   :D

Nylon (in general) pulls devious surprises, especially on loops. Not many seal all the ends before sewing the sheaths together, and just rely on the weave & the sewing stitches to hold. Have had more pull-outs when under stress. Cannot trust another nylon sheath. Almost lost my TTi to one.

Though I had an issue once with a leather sheath, it did not pull-out and I had plenty of time to repair it with a stitching awl. It has not come loose since.

I like this AWL for ALL - Lockstitch Sewing Awl Tool for sheath repairs, and other things. Their replacement parts are affordable. I use a spool of #4 bowstring serving thread for sewing leather & repairs.

Would anyone know if the same steel was used in both of these versions, or if one was slightly different from the other?

Bought the one on the bottom, which was stamped, about a year before the top one that was laser (?) etched. Design wise they appear to be the same, laying one over the other.

Here's to those PocketToolX Brewster & Piranha owners.

Recently received a Leatherman Piranha.  After taking the snapshot, I removed the screwdriver bit and holder to make the Piranha easier to carry in a pocket.

The Pocketwrench II grips hex head nuts and bolts better due to its very sharp teeth.

Back card posted for a new Piranha owner in the group.  It wouldn't fit in the envelope.

Incidentally, Leatherman has their version of the Owner's Guide.

Hmm...

The wrench teeth on the Leatherman version of the Piranha don't appear to be as well defined as PocketTool X versions.  That is worrisome. :-\

Had some nuts that hold a bicycle seat to its springs come loose today. 6" crescent was too thick, and the Charge TTi could only get therm so tight. Pulled out my PTX Piranha and got the job done, lickity split! Was thin enough to work in the seat springs.

I noticed that at Academy, myself; the ramping is extremely gradual. :/  Has anyone actually tested the Leatherman incarnation of it, to see how it does on nuts verses the PTX versions?

See that the Piranha 2 is out, yet when I resized it down it looks more flimsy.

so, I guess that new holder that looks like it can hold the letherman flat bits is not a tool to be used based on the Leatherman Site
http://www.leatherman.com/831680.html#start=9

1.  Scraper
2.  Bottle Opener
3.  1/4” Hex Bit Driver
4.  Medium Screwdriver
5.  Open Wrench (English)
6.  Box Wrench (Metric)
7.  Box Opener

If I can help, let me know

I wasn't gonna buy one but my old ptx piranha is missing so I got a excuse to get one now.

I just got a croc and I'm hoping the piranha 2 is made better than it.
