Just got my Piranha yesterday (it replaced an Atwood that I sold). So far, so good. A little bigger than I expected, but still hangs nicely off my keychain. I bought it to compliment my Leatherman Juice kf4. The Piranha has the bottle opener that the kf4 lacks, plus, there have been numerous times where i needed both pliers AND a wrench or a second screwdriver (working with nuts and bolts, etc). Also, I see myself putting the Piranha through much more abuse than my leatherman because it is easier to replace than my discontinued KF4 and almost impossible to get Atwoods.

I didn't have any beer at the house yesterday, do I can't tell you how the opener worked. Will definitely try it out after work!   :tu:

Your welcome, I like the piranha so much I own two. I don't carry pocket tools too much anymore, mainly just a single or multi-blade knife. I really went through a pocket tool phase, got like 30 or more. The piranha is by far one of my favorites. Want to see some other cool tools but hard to find? Check out Olaf Anderson and his two tools, think he sells them on Arizona custom knives website.

Well, I'm in  :tu:

Read about this tool here, and finally decided to give it a try.
Got mine in the mail yesterday   :mail:
It was ordered from the UK, since I didn't manage to find a supplier in Norway that carried it, and it's sold out at the factory at the moment. Took only three days to get here, not bad for a small package  :tu:

So far, I've tried the bottle opener and package opener - they worked fine for me.
We'll see how it's gonna be carried (had it in the left front pocket of my jeans yesterday, but there's probably a better spot for it), and how often it's gonna be used.

It was bought as a supplement for my Spirit, SAK's and Leatherman tools (holding nuts when tightening screws and bolts, use as a scraper, and so on), and for carry in situations where a knife will be frowned upon.

Guess everyone know that Leatherman now owns PocketToolX.

Good news is the older products by PocketToolX now have a 25 year warranty

PocketToolX is Now Part of the Leatherman Family

We are excited to share some great news with you. On June 22, 2012, Leatherman Tool Group, Inc., (LTG) parent company to Leatherman® multi-tools and LED Lenser® lights, acquired the PocketToolX™ (PTX) company. We know that the PTX folks have acquired a great fan base over the years and we want to take this chance to welcome to all of you, into the new LTG family of companies.

The first models we will convert to the Leatherman brand will be existing ones: The Brewzer™ Keychain Tool, the Mako™ Ti Bike Tool, and the Piranha™ Pocket Tools. We anticipate many more in the years to come and know that all Leatherman tools, including any PTX tools under the Leatherman brand, are covered under our 25-year, no-questions-asked warranty.

It was their black oxide. Low production I think.

I'm loving my smoke Brewzer!  You really can't beat this tool for the $$$. The size and weight are perfect for an edc keychain tool.   :tu:

Carrying the Piranha in a Charge sheath, in the elastic retainer area. Though lately it is bugging me when reaching for my Charge TTi and my thumb nail hits the end every time. The MTO saw blade I can fit in on an angle so it is not as annoying.

Am wondering if anyone has found a way to carry their Piranha comfortably, and/or found a sheath or some other form of carry.
