Sons Of Guns

This is the second episode of this show I've watched and I figured it was just a matter of time before I had a tool spotting.

The episode I'm watching is the one where they try to build a modern day Gatling gun.  You just see it for a few seconds, but the sliding head is immediately obvious- it's a Gerber of some sort, but as it's only seen side on I'm not certain what model it is.

That show is cool because of all the guns and such but it seems very scripted and they have faked some things. Specifically there is a scene where a lady brings in a .50 Desert Eagle and the daughter wants to shoot it. She goes into the range area and it shows her holding the gun. When she shoots it shes holding a black Beretta 92fs not a Desert Eagle. The next scene cuts back to her holding the Desert Eagle saying man that thing kicks.  There is a video of it on youtube I will try and find.

I wasn't watching it that closely, although I did see one where a woman comes in with a .50 Desert Eagle and complains because her husband bought it for her and it's WAY too much gun for her.  Rather than trying to set her up with a gun a small woman can use, they built her a stock for the gun.  I was thinking that if it was too much for her before, why add to it?

Still, the daughter is cute, and the guns (not to mention how they build them) are cool, so it's worth watching.

I think you need to watch the new gun show called American Guns.  Shes a bit young, but legal in some states.

I won't make any jokes about what is legal in some states...

While I certainly appreciate attractive women, they do not make or break a show for me- I like to watch folks building stuff.  I love Kari Byron and Scotti Chapman but I watch Mythbusters for the cool stuff they build, and it's the same with this Sons Of Guns show.  They build the kinds of things that make normal people go "WHAT THE SMURF?"

I can see beautiful women any time I want- as Fry says, "Thanks to the internet I'm bored with sex!"

I agree with you. I do not watch the shows just for the women, but it definitely does not hurt the show. Since you made the  Fry reference I have to post this.

On a more serious note, I have the occasional issue with Sons of Guns-they cut up collectables and turn them into junk! On one episode, a guy brought them a beautiful, original M1919A4 Browning and wanted them to cut it up so he could fire it from the hip.  What the smurf is wrong with you? Sell the Goddamn thing and but some non-classic to play with!

Well, let's see...between my father and I we have a muzzle-loading Enfield, a Snider, a Martini-Henry, a Martini-Enfield, three SMLEs, a No.5 jungle Carbine, a P.14 Enfield, and two Webleys. No wonder you don't have guns in the UK-we have all of them here in our safes!
