As a EDC what do you use your can for?? So lets see them!

I put dividers in mine then glued them in, on top of that i lined the inside with truck bed liner, so the dividers DON'T MOVE! this way i could carry my gum, Altoids, and fishermans friend with out getting mixed up. the only thing i should do is find some plastic to cover the lining, cause someone told me the tablets will absorb chemicals from everything, i have paper in there now(not in the pic) kinda how the Altoids come.. JR

It is called a "High Tech Ranger Band" and it is made of silicon. I got it from here: http://www.survivaldepot.co.uk/High_Tech_Ranger_Bands/p474753_3500942.aspx

Pretty neat, that would come in handy for other things too, as it showes. don't know where to find them over here.. definitely beats tying with paracord then having to retie it just for one little thing.. JR

I use one on mine (above) and think it's a great little item. I used a piece of bicycle inner tube on my previous two kits (survival and repair) but this silicone feller seems to be sized a lot better to me

1x iPhone 4 earphone
1x band-aids stripe
2x safety pins
1x paper clip
1x Mini Bic lighter

Added spare batteries for my Photon Freedom Micro Light and a special plaster for crevices in the skin of fingers (caused by dryness and "hard" work).

Anyways, Altoid tins don´t seem to get much love here...  :D

Sorry for those of you who have seen my request already in other, related  threads, but does anyone here know of a source (US, ideally) that sells waterproof/resistant rectangular tins?

Several had suggested a "tobacco tin" and I finally got a hold of one. Problem is, although there is indeed a rubber gasket seal, it is only "waterproof/airtight" when vacuum packed in some special machine I obviously don't have access to. As soon as one breaks the seal by twisting it open with a coin, on the side, it is then only marginally better than a run-of-mill Altoids tin. :(

Rumor has it, tuna fish sold in the 1940's? 50's? came in a tin which was sealed and required a coin to open it each time. Anyone know if that's true?

Finally, some have reported that a Belgium, lemon drop, bon bon, by Napoleon:

http://www.candyblog.net/blog/item/napoleon_bonbon/

only sold in plastic bags here in the US, did at least at one point come in a resealable tin. Anyone know more?

Wild camping is much easier in Scotland than it is in England.  Have a read around here to give yourself a start: http://www.outdooraccess-scotland.com/
