Interesting new sheath at Heinnie's
« on: November 15, 2011, 05:27:13 PM »
New item at Heinnies. I had been looking at getting a few Leatherman small Molle sheaths, but this is much cheaper. No idea about quality. May get one to try out.

Nice one Millhouse :tu: had just looked at this myself and at that price well worth trying.

being Heinnie's my gut reaction would be that it's probably OK quality at least.  I'll be interested to hear about it if anyone gets one. :)

Ok, it arrived today.

Firstly, the damned thing has just cut me, a bit of the velcro edge has slid under the nail of my thumb.

Build quality appears to be very good, time will tell how it holds up. It certainly looks more expensive than a £4.95 item.

The sheath is more suited to 4in tools. I have tried my Charge Ti and Spirit in it. The securing flap has full length velcro and is very secure.

I don't think I will be using this on my belt. The combination of the thickness of the material and the belt loop/molle attachments, makes it stick out a little too much.

Thanks for letting us know mate.  The fact it sticks out a bit from the belt sounds like a deal breaker for me. :-\  I do like my sheaths to be as slim as possible.

To get an idea of size and that?

Cheers.

Almost identical. Build quality is not as good, but very good for a £4.95 item.
