I use Shure.

One of my jobs at work is to maintain displays at a big electronics store. Those Beats headphones sound great but are constantly breaking. The vendor quit sending replacements because they thought we were lying about them breaking across the top. After corporate sent a couple hundred pics we submitted nationwide to them they accepted it was a problem.

i use akg and sony.
I forget the model but they are about $100 each

MeElectronics. New company out of California, the stuff they're putting out for the prices they're charging is simply phenomenal.
