Ok, the ultimate survival bracelet has all the bells and whistles well litterly, but I've found one that there now making that the side release clip that has most of it just in that rather then having to braid everything into the bracelet, it's got the flint, a little scraper knife to use on the flint and a whistle, neat little setup, and there not to badly priced if you ask me, there on eBay, you can get just the clips or the whole thing made, even with a compass, but what's the fun in getting the whole thing? Anyway, here's a link to just give you an idea as to what I'm trying to explain.. JR

So thats less than 1 year between the Kickstarter Campaign and the chinese copy? I have to say, they are efficient.  :twak:

Original:
Kickstarter
Outdoor Elements (Inventor)

You might also take a look at http://www.survivorstrapz.com, which I found looking for the Kodiak. They got one with the built-in flint on Amazon.

I also found this whistle-flint-buckle solo, but I could not see where or who makes it. Sold by those guys.

JR, let me end with: I find the idea intruiging as well, but I am not sure how well the chinese version will help you in an emergency. And we all want to see you here for a long time!  :tu:

Idk how I missed this, thanks for the info, but I'll make my own! I have a few, one that has a compass, whistle, and thermometer. Don't need everything, since everything else gets carried separate, but I did kinda find it neat to get all tucked away in one little thing, except the fishing line and hooks! Knowing my luck the hook would find a way to get threw.. JR

Yes, nice job! This looks to me more than an antique Samurai's silk cordage than Paracord.  :tu: Maybe it's because most paracord weaves I see are flat.

I mess around with paracord from time to time and made this key lanyard awhile back. I made it not using instructions or anything and have not found out what knot it is. I like the way it came out but can't remember how to make it the exact same. If anyone knows the name please let me know. Thanks...... Also second pic is a old blackjack/sap I found and redid in 550.

I made a few paracord bracelets for myself.  I managed to make one out of one continuous 12 foot strand of 550 (plus a small length used as a button, no slide release clip) that unravels instantly; no knots to untie.  It's inspired by a video I saw on youtube, but I made some modifications. Pics to follow.

Is there a logic behind combining subdued/camo colours and the bright orange?

Or is it just for the nice contrast? (I find it beautiful, btw)  :tu:

Digging through a gadget drawer and found a couple of Pugster Knight beads that I'd bought a couple of years ago. Tied short paracord round and square crown sinnet fobs/zipper pulls with 'em, in black & camo green, adding one to my pa's black nylon scaled Victorinox Bantam.
