Nope! But i'm getting good at this paracord malarky (i say good, better than i expected anyway!) Same knot just a slightly different way of doing it.

After playing with the great one Hawk sent me, I'm hunting around for some cord to give it a shot myself!

I know someone linked some tutorials earlier...I'll check further back in this thread for them.

Hi

One other tip for lanyard making is:

Loose knots make OK lanyards, tight knots make the best lanyards.!

Thanks

I still can't get on with lanyards on tools.  I tried one on my OHT then Calvin sent and I just couldn't get on with it.  It just got in the way.

I do use a lanyard for my keys though.  I have one that Deano made that I attach to my belt hook with a S-Biner and I carry that all the time now.

I'm back!!

I'm the same way. For EDC lanyards just get in the way for me. But if I'm boating I will definitely use something to secure the tool to my person. I do love the look of some lanyards and it's always handy to have some Paracord around.

for me I need them at times at work. During the off time we have to do plant Maint. and I am tired of going up and down the catwalk to get the tools that are dropped. Now company tools I really dont care about, but mine.... Well I like them in one piece.

You know, now that I think about it, I've dropped my LM Core from atop an 8' ladder and of course I was in perfect position and all pieces were just right for securing together when it happened. Down the ladder, up the ladder, refit everything. Ugh! Yeah, maybe at the least I should use a lanyard with the Core.

Hey Roadie, what's that blade in your pic? Looks ssshaweet!  :)

That would be my Becker (BK&T) Necker, no longer made unfortunately but it is a superb blade, Def used to have one, think he sold it to someone else on the forum though.

As for the lanyard on tools, i have the one in the pic with my Becker on my Climber to help with getting it out of my pocket and a simple loop one on my F1 to stop it going flying if i lose grip on it. On multitools i do find they get in the way a bit but they do come in handy at times.

It depends on the tool with me. I have one on one of my Juice models and if I ever get a Wenger Standard Issue I'll put one on there. But I tried one on my Spirit and it didn't work out. Of course the lanyard hole on the Spirit is in an awkward place anyway.

Does anyone here put lanyards on flashlights as well?

Again I can't get on with that either. :-\  Although if I was to use my Tec 40 up high etc I would probably attach the included lanyard then.  But not every day.
I'm back!!
