I just came home with this simple phone 
And I like it a lot 

And I will use it for some weeks and then it will go to the drawer as a backup phone and I will continue using my iPhone 3GS , at leest I wish I will , but I think I will use it until I get bored from it

I got for 99 AED (nearly 25$) from a phone store

I guess you can tell that US carriers don't allow moving sim cards.

No, one at a time, but from different carriers. Like if you buy a phone from Etisalat, can you put a sim cars from DU in it. (google tals me these are the only two mobile carriers in UAE)? Or if you use the phone in another country, can you put the sim card from another foreign carrier in your phone? Most european carrieres don't allow that, so I keep an old Samsung phone that can be unlocked by an IMEI code when I travel abroad for a longer period of time.

The only other issue would be if one of the phones uses a micro sim, which I thought the iPhone did.

Maybe the newer Nokia's do as well, which would allow an easy swap.

No , iPhone 3GS uses rigueler sim

Only iPhone 4 and 4s use micro sim

Micro SIM is the exact same card, but with less unused plastic around the chip.
