Going to visit the in laws was a lot of fun, but I only got 4 good walks in during the 7 days we were gone.  Now that we're back I will be exercising 6 days per week again and we are joining the local YMCA, so weight training and a greater variety of CV choices will be available to me.

Since November 13 I have gone for fitness walks 47 times lasting a total of 46 hours and covering 158 miles.  Its a good start, but the time and distances will increase much more quickly once the weather becomes more bicycle friendly.

Home now and showered. Man that was hard. How come we can get unfit quicker than we can get fit  :ahhh 45 minutes seemed to go on and on. The good thing was everyone was in the same boat, so we all suffered on mass.

It was painfull having to see all those young ladies in skin tight lycra again, but I managed to get through the class OK.   :D

Great thread guys, you are motivating me.

I am going to start some fitness walks here soon.  I have relapsed into eating poorly and not moving as much as I need to.  I walk a ton at work but it's short stints and my body is used to it.  I am switching off the fast food selector and pledging to walk 4 times a week.  It's raining tonight so it may have to start tomorrow.

Just got back from signing up at the Y for the semester...  Gonna start tomorrow at 7 am!  I'm thinking I'll start slow and simple, just some fast walking on one of the treadmill machines.  30 min. should be a good start.

I've established a calorie budget, and have been recording all my food intake for a few days now.  Tomorrow I'll weight myself and officially get started on my new fitness plan!

(I think weighing myself is going to be the scariest part!)

I lied.  I ended up going for a 1 mile combo speed walk and run.  I had fun and can feel a bit better about relaxing tonight.  Gonna try to do it at least three times a week and increase the distance.  That seems to be an attainable goal for the time being.

Walking in the rain is great! No really, there's more oxygen in the air when it rains or something, makes it better for lungs. Don't let the weather stop you, just go and get wet, or put on a waterproof coat, go for it!

I've lost 40 pounds since mid October.  :o  :o  Another 100+ to go and I'll be all set.   I've been eating well and exercising  as much as possible. I feel better than I have in years. I was totally addicted to sugar and it was killing me.  :-\

Wow, that's a heck of a change!  I have lost another 2kg (about 5 pounds) in the last month and I'm feeling better, although I feel like crap today because of a cold.  I'm now down to 180-185lbs from almost 210 so I can imagine what a 40 pound drop must feel like!

Hang in there buddy!
