I'm hoping that Santa brings me a T10 in Neutral White. :D  I certainly don't need another 1xAA light, but if someone else buys it then I can't feel guilty about it. ;)

This is my first penlight. So much slimmer than I thought it would be. Disappears in the pocket. Time will tell if i accidentally click it on while in my pocket.

I have almost pulled the trigger on an Olight S1R newest version several times.  Anyone want to push me over the edge?

Well, Santa let me down. :(  The good news is that my brother-in-law didn't. :D  I've seen and used the modern T10 before so it's not a surprise at all, but it's still a nice little light and I've been very happy to carry it every since I got it on Christmas afternoon.

Not exactly a flashlight, it's a folding, solar-powered lantern.

It came as a freebie as I have bought several flashlights from that store over the years -they make excellent presents for people you care about :tu:

I haven't really tested it yet, it works well but I am concerned by a few points. I think I'll make a separete thread later on.

I like those!  I have a smaller one (folds up about the size of a wallet, inflates to the size of a camp pillow).  But it's been great so far, doesn't seem to need much sunlight to charge, and I've used it as a nightlight for my kids when camping.  Solar powered means I don't worry about leaving it on too long.

Amazon UK have a good price on the Fenix HL22 just now (£15) and while it doesn't seem to have been a particularly popular light it seems to suit my wants from a headlamp.  Time will tell how I get along with it.

I'm looking at either that one or the i3 from olight. I'm sure the t10 is much much better. But still weighing the options.

Here's my latest, a Fenix HL22.  Simple headlamp with just three modes plus a hidden SOS.  Has mode memory which I always like.  It'll be coming with me on an overnight hike so it'll definitely be getting some use tonight and tomorrow.

It certainly is interesting  :) Claimed output/runtimes are 45lm/6h, 35lm/8h, 20lm/12h. I think the lumen ratings are about right, I am going to test the runtimes a few times before reporting back.

The light emitted is soft and uniform, a tad on the cool white side. Here are a few beamshots. Please excuse the untidy room, I took these pics on purpose thinking the mess would help see how useful the light actually is.

Medium

Low

Pics don't really do low justice, it is dim but more useful than it looks in this pic.

That's actually one of my concerns: even with the solar panel covered, the red light indicator still lights up if there's enough ambient light -artificial or natural- coming through the lantern's transparent housing. Does this mean it's constantly charging?! :ahhh

Well, I had an entire review typed up and my computer locked up and lost it.  Oh well, here is my latest EDC: Lumintop Tool AAA with Hi CRI Nichia emitter.

Executive summary: Finally a worthwhile replacement for my Fenix LD01.  Really, this is the kind of light Fenix should be making themselves.  You should buy one!

Bought a few lights recently. Got a Zebralight H52 AA in Cool White. Been wanting one of these for a long time now. I ventured into a new light company for me which is Lumintop. Went with a Worm in Green, but then saw the Prince Mini and had to buy one. I wanted the full size prince in Copper, but it does not come in my desired battery type so I passed.

Been messing with the H52 and its been flawless. I am very pleased with it.

Just got the Mini Prince today and I have to say it is one good looking light. Bigger than expected. One thing I noticed right away is the clicky is not my favorite. It is one click for ON which starts in low which I do not like. Then you half click to cycle through modes which is a bit wonky. Maybe it takes a bit to get used to. Time will tell.

Still don't have the Worm in hand yet.

Finally replaced my list Fenix with a Thrunite Archer 1A V3 NW. I'm liking it so far, but it is sticking out above the pocket more than I would have liked. No matter, I'm probably going to get a 2a v3 CW next.
