Thank you very much  :salute: this is the exact direction I was headed as well.  The charger is one I have been very much interested in and the 18650's are a battery that I have also been curious to give a shot.  I now have to find other lights that will support the 18650  .  Here I go off into Li-ion lights and the dark dark road that follows

How about over 1000 lumens from 1 18650 battery?

My latest are:

TN35vn (Thrunite, Vinh-modded)
D40avn PDTn (x2) (Sunwayman, Vinh-modded)
C20Cvn PDTn Fiat Lux (Sunwayman, Vinh-modded)

That C20Cvn is pretty amazing.  1300 lumens from an 18650 light that's smaller than a Zebralight SC600 MkII.  I'm not fond of the UI, but it sure is bright and compact, and throws well.

The TN35vn?  It's um.... WOW. 3500 LED lumens, 3x18650 and Cree MT-G2 emitter.

Was just at Zebralight's website and saw they FINALLY have the SC600w Mk II back in stock, so I ordered one while I could!  Also picked up an H52Fw to replace the H51w I gifted out a little while ago.

As much as I love my old SC60w, it's pretty long in the tooth... It's currently riding under the handlebar of my Soma Double Cross that's my primary/commute bike, but the 600 will replace it; from 240 lumens max output to 1020 max output!  :D  Woo-hoo! :D  Combined with H600w I have on my helmet, I'll be putting out 2,000+ lumens on max!  THAT will get me some respect on the road!

Thanks, Cap! Nice to be back... It's been a slow day at work today, what with the holiday tomorrow... getting some work done, but not a whole lot. Gonna have to make up for it over the weekend though.

Since the ITP A3 SS was discontinued, I've been looking for a replacement just in case anything ever happened my ITP.

This looks like it may be suitable.

The Fedex guy just dropped off my Fenix E12.  Overall I'm happy with it.  I like the finish, I like the sharp knurling, and I like the beam pattern.  I only have two complaints:  I don't like the guards around the button, I don't like a "recessed" button, and there's no pocket clip.

We'll see how it goes.

Me, neither. I just assumed it was single mode like the regular one. I may have to get one now.

What's the UI, HML? How are the threads, easy one hand operation?

The UI is L-M-H.

NO idea about the threads. Hoping it will be similiar to my ITP A3 SS.

I suspect I must be in the odd minority that actually likes my old L0D's M-L-H sequence.  I get why people like the L-M-H sequence, but does every single light have to use it? :-\  Still, my odd preferences aside; that does look like a good light.

TN35vn (Thrunite, Vinh-modded)
D40avn PDTn (x2) (Sunwayman, Vinh-modded)
C20Cvn PDTn Fiat Lux (Sunwayman, Vinh-modded)

That C20Cvn is pretty amazing.  1300 lumens from an 18650 light that's smaller than a Zebralight SC600 MkII.  I'm not fond of the UI, but it sure is bright and compact, and throws well.

It's not as bad as you might think...  I bought the C20Cvn and the (2x) D40Avn at sale prices, and bought the TN35vn used, at about 60% of the cost of a new one.

The TN35vn is quite impressive, but I've decided that 3X18650 lights are a bit too big to really be practical for me.

My 2 E05 SS are here.

First impressions are good. The light is solid, the threads are very smooth - quite easy to operate with one hand.

Unlike the plain E05, this version has 3 modes. The UI is low, medium, high (8,25,85 lumens). Mode change is achieved by rapidly turning the light off/on. High mode lasts for 3 minutes before stepping down to medium.

Also on this version, the lens is clear and there is no hole (see second picture. Note, both pics are off the net and are not mine).

I got these for keychain carry, to potentially replace the ITP A3 SS currently carried. Not sure whether I will yet. Like Gareth, I would much prefer the UI to be M-L-H.

Good looking lights I think.  Are they the same size as the original E05?  I do question how I'd get on with the L-M-H and the 3 minute step down though.

I don't have an original E05 to compare against.

Up against my ITP A3 SS, the E05 is virtually the same length, its diameter is slighter bigger.

I can live with the 3 minute stepdown for a keychain light. My ITP A3 is mostly run on medium, with short bursts of high.

Ironically I don't have a ITP A3 to compare my original E05 against.

Looking up the numbers it appears the E05 has gown a couple of MM compared to the old one 66.5mm vs 64.5mm.  Nothing much to fret over IMO.
