Pocketable pouch for an Executive and Preon 1?
« on: June 05, 2012, 09:57:26 PM »
Hi all.  My typical minimal EDC tools are my SAK Executive, and my HCRI Preon 1 with a clicky switch.  I'd like to find a small, flattish pouch that I could use to carry both in, in a pocket, or clipped to a belt loop.  Does anyone have any suggestions for such a thing?  I'd like to find something that will allow easy pocket carry for both, yet also protect them from dings and scratches from other things I might have in my pockets.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I don't have an answer but how about something custom from Metropolicity?
Or something in leather from Landroza?

Or make something your self. It really isn't difficult.

Many broken SAK's + 2 broken Gerber MT's = Happy Surge owner since '05. It may be big and heavy when being carried, but it is just right when working hard!

I like he same sort of pocket carry, but with bigger tools. (Today: Benchmade 581 Barrage, Leatherman PST-II, Sunwayman V11R AA.) I'm planning to get a Skinth Pocket Panel, but for the last coupla years I've gotten by with a Bill's Urban Wallet. Two pockets in the front, just the right size for a knife and light (and Fisher Bullet, if the light is a AAA). The main compartment holds a small sheet of plastic, which I added to stiffen it; I don't use it as a wallet per se.

Unfortunately, Bill is a royal P.I.T.A. to deal with. After trying to contact him by email and getting a rude response, I happened to see one on a B/S/T forum somewhere.

Since you're looking at carrying some pretty compact tools, I'd have a chat with Metropolicity, maybe he'd be willing to make you a "mini Pocket Panel" better sized for your needs.
