The Griptillian or Mini-Grip would've been my choice as well. It's also hard to fault an Endura or Delica or really any Spydie.

Personally, though, I went with a different option, the Benchmade Nagara. Yes, it's Chinese-made. But I don't know another one-handed opening and closing knife that is of such nice quality and has the type of "classy" look that the Nagara has for anywhere near the price. It's a great knife if you like this style. Here's mine (with the rest of my EDC).

It's a tossup between the Cold Steel American Lawman and also their Hold Out II. Both are very comfortable knives, good steel, and besides Extreme Ratio's lock-pin design they have the best lock a folding knife could have. Either knife can be obtained for roughly $70 which leaves you with beer money.

I would take a different route than the others and go with a nice great eastern cutlery barlow but then again I am a sucker for traditional slipjoints plus they will be able to be used by your grandkids and their kids. Also a case sway back jack is hard to beat.
