Just to be awkward.....
Leatherman Charge Ti with TTi blades, or TTi with Ti pliers, best in the world.
Something like this?:

It's my Charge TTi with Wave pliers  :ahhh

Actually, I only have a Ti so I am saying nothing more about this until a TTi mysteriously turns up.

Removable cutting blades on the head does sound like a bloody good idea though - maybe when the Rebar surfaces maybe there will be some FrankenTi's around :D

It's pretty simple. Maneuvering pivots back in place can be difficult but other than that there's nothing complicated about it. Just make sure you have good quality tools (Security Torx T10H) on hand so you don't strip your screws. (Leatherman uses Red Loctite! They can be very difficult to unscrew.)

Has anyone found a good reason to actually want a cap crimper in their pliers? (other than of course those that crimp caps lol) But has anyone found an additional and usefull all around function of them or is it just something that waste valuable real estate and weakens the pliers.

I have been drooling forever but that is the one thing that stops me.  I even thought about gettign a TI but am hesitant because they dont come around as often, and dont have the gut hoot.

I also wouldnt mind if LM decided to put the Rebar pliers on to really make this thing top of the line.

I've found the cap crimper useful for gripping things like nails when trying to pull them out... Not the correct use, I realise, but it works quite well.
Just don't say fecal coagulation.  :twak: - Mr. Whippy

They are so much nicer when you assemble them yourself.

The cap crimper is useful for holding tacks and nails and keeping your thumbs out of the way, but the best use I've found for it is opening pistachio nuts (there's nothing more annoying than pistachio nuts that haven't "popped") :P
