Well I'm back.  For those of you who are sharp with their maths you might have noticed that it's not been four days.   Sadly one of the guys I was out with was really starting to feel unwell (something a bit flu-like) and we took the decision to come home early.  still we did have a couple of days hiking, and the weather was OK for the most part, so not a total loss.

Dang, sorry your trip got cut short Gareth I'm sure your sick mate must feel awful too. Not only because of the flu stuff, but because he probably feels guilty about messing up everyone's plans.

Cheers chaps.  Nothing rescheduled yet, especially as one of the guys is flying back to New Zealand next week.   I'm sure we'll do something else at some point.

Yeah, he was pretty cut up about it.  Obviously we did our best to tell him not to worry about it, but I know it probably didn't make him feel much better about it.  It's worth saying that this is one tough guy, ex-squaddie and super fit.  So if he says he's not feeling well, then you know he's really not.
