10th Anniversary Leatherman
« on: January 14, 2008, 08:30:55 PM »
Found this on ebay when I was looking for anniversary tools.  The reserve isn't shown, but I emailed the guy and it is $200.

Good luck to one of you guys with lots of $$$.

For the multitool "user", this thing is nothing but an expensive dust collector. But for the collector, this 10th anniversary tool is the crown jewel. There were only 200 made, most all of which went to Leatherman employees or early supporters or big customers of the company. They rarely if ever show up on the open market for sale.

30 minutes to go, wonder where the price on this one will end up?

That's fine. It's already 15 years old, and on the assumption that no one will remove such a limited run thing from its fancy walnut packaging, It'll still be in mint condition when the fates provide one to me in happy circumstance at some point in the unforseeable fog of the future.

482 + 20 shipping = $502.

Too rich for my blood. Under $300 and I would have picked it up.

Would have had to have been under $30 for me to have picked it up.  :'(

Hi,

I suppose you might think I need my head examined as well, but I'm thrilled to add one more "holy grail" to my collection.  Looking forward to it getting here.

Best - Joe

Congrats.  I wish I could have one too.   :o  Now that we know who has all the money, we can tap you as an investor in a MT.org sponsored tool.   ::)

Welcome SAAM! I'd be interested in a picture of that 047/500 Wave.

Here's a pic of the 10th certificate that I promised Joe. (frame is really straight, photo makes it appear curvy)
