The knife was posted today.  :D

Out of my hands now.  :tu:

It arrived in yesterday's mail.  It is great, now I need to decide which multitool to carry with it.

Pictures later today.

Many thanks to DKS for sending me the knife.  I am very impressed with the workmanship and that knife blade is sharp!  I am going to ask everyone for a little help with pairing this knife with a tool for my EDC.

Without offending a lot of members here I am not a SAK person per se I only own a Damascus Pioneer, I think my Cybertool Lite is more of a tool.  So me winning this giveaway is somewhat ironic.  So with only owning one shelf queen non-locking knife this is going to be a little different for me.  And I am have been carrying the same multitool and knife for quite sometime, maybe a little shake-up is in order.  First here is my current EDC Combo which might just surprise many members here:

SOG Twitch XL and Victorinox Spirit.

The knife part of the new EDC:

So I am thinking of starting with the Leatherman Charge TTi that I received the same day as the Schrade knife or maybe a Charge AL?

The other Leatherman options are below but missing is the Waves both Original and New.

I think I am going to start with the TTi shown since I got it abused (cheap) on ebay, here is the damage:

I am thinking of ordering a set of SOG scissors and trying to put them in a Paratool...pictures to follow.

But the big question is what tool(s) should I try with the Schrade knife?  I have carried a Super 200 and a Gerber Diesel.  But the Super 200 is just to nice to use to dig in the yard to plant flower with and opening the tool just seemed a hassle with the Diesel.

Thanks again DKS!

Bruce

Maybe just carry it on its own when you are going somewhere where you do not need pliers, or to carry anything heavy, like at a party/function.

If that's a standard Spirit, I'd be tempted to stick with that. If you had the Charge AL you might be tempted to use that blade instead, which would defeat the object. Other option would be a LM with an inboard knife, but I'm a big scissors fan so I'd personally be wanting those - don't know if that's a show stopper for you.

The scissors are my favorite tool on the Spirit and while the Charges have scissors they are inboard and I need to open the tool to pry them out.  But the Surge and Swisstool don't fit in my TAD sheath anyway.  It is gonna be hard to work a tool other than the Spirit into a daily carry.  I have a bunch of tools I would like to carry but I find the Spirit hard to replace.

The big advantage to the Schrade Century is the cap lifter if quite good which I thought might allow me to carry a Leatherman.

Maybe I will give the Charge TTi a try today, I only paid Wingman prices for it.
