Leatherman International Warranty Changes

13 Jan 2012. I emailed the local distributor asking about warranty procedures. They replied telling me to bring the tool to them and they will send it to USA on my behalf with the turnaround time of approx 2 months. I did not mention the tool was sentimental.

I give a thumbs up to Leatherman for their effort but I wonder how they manage inconsistencies between how distributors handle warranty cases.

So no more LM repairs in the uk, that sucks, glad im having a LM  free year

If Whitby really do stop doing repairs and just replace the tools then I wonder what will happen to the leatherman spares and the sockets/bits used to dissemble original LM fasteners . Anyone know anyone who works at Whitby ?   

I will add that Whitby have always given me first class Warranty service in the past
