SHOT Show Sneak Peek
« on: January 17, 2012, 03:43:41 PM »
Hey all, a video just popped up on LM's Facebook page showing off the new tools. The REBAR looks great, but I was most surprised by the one-hand tool!

Check it out:

The tools don't look too stubby either.  Damn, now I'll need to get one in addition to a Rebar.  :ahhh

That one hand tool is quite cool! Nicely priced as well I think, will probably cost twice as much here in Europe :)

:ahhh :ahhh No sound on this PC  :ahhh :ahhh

LM makes a Gerber :D I take it the original patent has run out  ;)
LM takes a simple and effective route to avoiding palm pinching  :salute:
LM makes a full sized tool with everything outboard - GOOD MOVE GUYS!!!  :tu:
They look like linerlocks on everything, which is my only reservation on that. If the blades, saw and strap cutter were slippy I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. Still VERY interesting though, and one I'll be keeping my eye on. It's been a while since I've felt any excitement about a LM tool. Nice one LM  :salute:

I hope (you listening LM?) they're considering remodelling the Juice along these lines.
Slippy OHO blades, locking OHO drivers, OHO pliers, all outboard  :pok: :pok:

Scissors and an awl. Why in the smurf can't we get scissors and an awl in a 4 inch tool?

Sigh.

Maybe next year. Again.

They can only absorb so much of what we tell them every year  :D I think the Rebar and OHT do incorporate much of what people have been asking for. Let's hope that they catch on and LM start producing variations on the themes which include those items. I want them too - especially on the OHT inspired remodelled Juice as described above  :P

Cool!  I wasn't super excited about the rebar, but I will for sure take one of those OHT.
PM me if you are looking for custom alox work.

I do not think the OHT`s primary focus is the the edc crowd. With the sliding plier head there is not as much room for lots of outside tools. While I wouldnt mind an awl. Scissors arent really needed on this type of MT.   :D

I think they'd fit in quite nicely myself  :) Scissors and file replacing serrated and strap cutter. Awl replacing what appears to be a mini driver.

Not knocking this tool in the slightest you understand, just encouraging variations once this takes off ;)

Holy smurf! Really!? Yay they kept something for a surprise! I'm not overly excited about the Rebar. It this OHT looks cool! Perhaps the Flick and Freehand will fall off my wish list (who am I kidding? :twak:). Hope Grant happens upon this soon I'd like to see what his first impressions are. I got that tweeter thingy going so I can follow along. Yay new stuff!

Stay multi my friends

I like the Rebar. Known about that for a while like the rest of us, of course. The OHT was news to me. Looks neat. Obviously geared towards LEO and MILI operators. I'd get a OHT for personal use if it had some scissors as an option instead of the belt cutter, maybe. I'll pick up both the Rebar and OHT for the blog to review, though.

Oh my... Return of the pincher!!! :D And totally not the first 100% oh-operable tool on the market; the XTracts where 100% OH and spring-loaded ages ago, although the LM OHT looks way more practical.
