If they made a civilian version by replacing the sight adjustment tool with a standard hex bit adapter, I'd get one.

Mike

I can pretty much guarantee that someone at Gerber is paying fairly close attention to these threads.

Def

That would be great if Gerber is reading some of the feed back here.

Everything else on this tool looks really good. But as a civilian I have no need for a sight adjustment tool. The sight tool is removable, so a hex bit adapter should be no problem.

Common sense ..... so rare, it's virtually a super power.

Gerber is perhaps the best example of a company paying attention to what we are doing here.  The feedback they have gotten from members here put the Shard into production, got rid of the so called "bikini tools" like the Suspension, and brought back the 3D phillips.

If you ever think that no one is paying attention to the comments here, remember the above.  And if you still aren't convinced, ask yourself this- if you were a designer at one of these companies, how much of a bumbling egotistical boob would you have to be to ignore a valuable resource full of enthusiasm and real world experience such as this place?

Well put.  Seriously, this website is a treasure trove of information about Multitools of all shapes and sizes, and there is a distinct representation from each category of user.  There are those who are die hard outboard tool lovers, those that use only keychain tools, those (like me  :D ) that prefer inboard tools, awl lovers, scissor lovers, and many many more.  The big 4, or any manufacturer for that matter, can average all this information and get a good idea of what the public is going to read about when they come here, and I know they do because I have had friends ask me if I'VE ever heard of this place.

I'm just impressed   Although I have no use for a sighting tool, the rest of it meets my wish list.  And +1 on the can-opener needing an edge.

No luck so far. There are a couple blunt noses with replaceable cutters but none with the t shank adapter.

I'd rather have scissors instead of a hex adapter, and use an adapter on the Philips.  I mean, the tool already has good reach to it.
